BIMC hospital was officially opened on 27th July 1998. This year, BIMC Hospital celebrated 13 years of service. To celebrate the 13th anniversary, BIMC Hospital organized several activities and one of the highlights was releasing sea turtles into the sea at Kuta Beach.
On 25th July, BIMC Hospital invited all staff to join in the releasing of sea turtles program on Kuta Beach. The activity started at 4.30pm with a brief speech about the sea turtles by Bapak Agung, the founder of the sea turtle conservation program in Bali. Bapak Agung is also known by the name of Mr. Turtle. The activity was followed by a donation from BIMC Hospital to the conservation. This donation was presented by Deddy Suhartawan – Sales & Marketing Manager of BIMC Hospital.
At 5pm, with more than 50 staff participating, one by one the sea turtles were released. This activity is called “The baby turtle race”. BIMC Hospital invited tourists on the beach to join in the activity. More than 100 people joined in releasing the baby turtles into the sea. BIMC Hospital will continue to support the conservation of the sea turtles.
Another activity held to celebrate 13 years of service was the BIMC Hospital staff party. The party was held on 31st July. In attendance was BIMC Hospital staff, some staff members of supporting hotels, and the BIMC Hospital management team. The party kicked off with a speech from BIMC Hospital’s CEO, Mr. Craig Beveridge and a presentation award for the employee of the year. There was lots of entertainment including some performances from the BIMC doctors and other staff which made the celebration a great success!
