Mesotherapy Injection2If you’re seeking body beautiful without that fat that just won’t come off, there is one treatment that’s been around a while with regaining interest.

Today a technique called mesotherapy is growing in popularity and while it’s been used for some time only recently has a legion of medical practitioners rediscovered this safe and effective treatment for weight reduction.

Mesotherapy comes from the Greek word mesos or “middle” and is today referred to as an effective, non-surgical cosmetic treatment for fat reduction.  Mesotherapy works by using a variety of pharmaceutical and homeopathic plant extracts and vitamins injected into subcutaneous fat.

The procedure involves numerous injections, once a week, for several weeks injected in the middle layer of one’s skin for spot and cellulite fat reduction. The technique, pioneered in France by physician Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952, is today popular in the United States and over 40 countries.

“Over the course of 10 sessions, mesotheraphy blocks our ability to store fat while stimulating our ability to burn it,” says Dr. Ridwan, Head of the BIMC CosMedic Centre. “It’s a two-pronged approach.” The components that combine mesotherapby are surprisingly medications many of us are familiar with, such as those used for asthma and high blood pressure and that work alongside vitamins and supplements.

Dr. Ridwan says that the fat winds up in the muscle, where it’s used for energy and that’s where the commitment of patients comes into play he stresses. “Anyone seeking mesotheraphy has their own part in this and that’s exercise and maintaining a healthy diet.”

Combining ultrasound and radio frequency along with mesotheraphy, exercise and eating right he says is a fantastic combination for the best possible results. Like all of BIMC’s therapies, the hospital urges those interested to do their own research before seeking consultation. “It’s totally safe with minimal side effects but because there is commitment with healthy eating and exercise we need our CosMedic clients to fully understand how this fat reducing science works.”
