Every four years, the Association of Indonesian Tour and Travel Agencies (ASITA) holds their regional conference to elect a new chairman and to develop and refine the association’s policies and tourism program. Current chairman, Mr. Ketut Ardana, has called for the holistic management of the island’s tourism by focusing on sustainability and supporting other stakeholders in tourism development.
“Let’s preserve Bali as a sustainable and cultural tourism destination and contribute to the livelihood of Balinese people and other tourism workers on this island,” said Bambang Sugiono, coordinator of the ASITA 2016 conference. This year’s event will be held on December 7 at Trans Resort Seminyak with BIMC Hospital on hand to provide BIMCare vouchers for silent auction and fundraising.
