BIMC Iternist Provide Round Table Discussion ― BIMC Siloam Nusa Dua invited about 40 general practitioners and nurses to attend its popular round table discussion Nov 18. The Round Table Discussions have become events that medical professionals eagerly sign up for, this most recent presented by Dr. Ni Made Ari Kurnianingrum, SpPD on the topic of “insulin independent approach to remove excess glucose and how to provide multiple benefits in diabetes mellitus Type 2.”
The session was moderated by Dr. Hermes Santosa and supported by BIMC Siloam Nusa Dua, which presented its protocols for diabetes screening. The hospital is currently offering special rates on its HbA1C test for only IDR 125,000. It is estimated that between 5–10% of people with pre-diabetes become a type 2 diabetic. Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to blindness, limb amputation, kidney failure and vascular and heart disease. Patients are encouraged to have early detection on pre-diabetes (diabetes mellitus).
