The mother of all Balinese temples, Besakih, located on the slopes of the revered Mt. Agung is invariably where all Balinese Hindus from all corners of Bali mass daily to perform worship to gods and ancestors.
On the 10th full moon each year this sacred temple holds a large-scale ceremony known as karya tawur agung panca wali krama and karya batara turun kabeh. Devotees invite deities to descend to the temple where they receive blessings.
As a patron of social community work, BIMC Siloam Nusa Dua will support the safety of the worshippers on April 9 by providing ambulance stand by, medical supplies and general support with a medic team during the ceremony.
