Emergency Workshop for Doctors and Nurses Hosted by BIMC Nusa Dua — As part of its community medical education program, BIMC Siloam Nusa Dua held its “Primary Survey and Management Pre-Hospital” workshop dedicated for nurses and general medical practitioners. The two-hour workshop focused on abdomen trauma led by BIMC general surgeon dr. I Wayan Wahyu Sutrisna, M.Biomed, Sp.B. Organized for medically qualified staff (nurses and doctors) seeking specific training, abdominal trauma is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among all age groups. Identification of serious intra-abdominal pathology is often challenging; many injuries may not manifest during the initial assessment and treatment period.
