BIMC Hospital continues to support the annual Food Festival which is one of the biggest events in Bali. This year the set up of Food Festival was a bit different from previous years. The Food Festival was held from the 14th – 16th October and was set up right on Kuta beach.
This year the opening of the Food Festival started with the traditional parade on Kuta beach at 4pm on the Friday. The 3 day Food Festival was flooded with local people and tourists wanting to sample a variety of food and beverages at a lower price.
Safety is the most important aspect when they are a lot of people localized in one area where accidents can happen. BIMC’s emergency team was on standby to support the event. A fully equipped ambulance was available with a doctor and nurse in attendance.
BIMC’s tent was also equipped for emergency cases. However, we welcomed others who wanted to have a 5 minute consult with our doctor. Once again, the festival was successful with no major incident happening.
