The Sanur Village Festival was held for the sixth time this year 19 – 23 November 2011. This year, the event was held at Matahari Terbit Beach in Sanur. The timing and larger location was deliberately chosen to accommodate the collaboration of the National Flora Week 2011 which merged with the festival this year. National Flora Week is both a national and international event. The Indonesian Department of Agriculture handed over the event to the Denpasar City Government to organize. On display at National Flora Week was a range of agricultural products, including all kinds of vegetables, flowers, fruits and herbal medicines.
Other activities at the Sanur Village Festival this year included the Rugby Cup, Cricket Cup and basket ball. All sport activities were arranged by the Bali Sport Foundation. BIMC Hospital supports the Bali Sport Foundation and did so at the Sanur Village Festival by providing a fully equipped ambulance with doctor and nurse on stand by for all sporting events. Thankfully no major injuries occurred during the sporting activities.
