Keep Kids Fit and Healthy This Summer

Keep Kids Fit and Healthy This Summer — The school year comes with plenty of structure, and all that scheduling can help encourage healthy habits. Put a little rhythm into those lazy Bali days with activities that will keep them interested and fit. You can sign your child up for numerous activities on the holiday island. Here are some of our top choices “Keep Kids Fit and Healthy”…

Waterbom Park
One of our favorite water parks anywhere in the world, and rated as the best in Asia by TripAdvisor, you can easily spend all day in this lush paradise and never run out of things to do.

Bounce trampolining
Book the kids in for an hour at this indoor trampoline centre, while you watch from above. They can also try out the wall climb, play dodge or jump into a foam pit.

Cycling tour in Ubud
Ubud is cooler than most of Bali so a good spot for outdoor exercise. Take a downhill cycle tour visiting coffee plantations, traditional Balinese homes amongst lush surroundings.

Rice paddy walk
Also in Ubud, rice paddies provide fetching scenery and make fun and educational exploration about just how much work is involved growing this staple food.

Bali Bird Park
If you appreciate all things avian, then this well managed park is not to be missed.

Bali Safari Park
Probably one of Bali’s most appreciated family destinations, the park keeps improving every year and it’s pretty much a full day excursion not far from Sanur.

Bali Butterfly Park
For kids, Bali butterfly Park is like entering a magical fairy garden with winding pathways through lush tropical gardens, over little bridges, and past colorful blooms while butterflies flutter about.

Motorized water sports
Whether it’s jet skiing or paragliding or flying on a banana boat you can find endless opportunities down on the shores of Nusa Dua.

Non-motorized water sports
A lot of hotels include ocean kayaking, amongst other water sports in their pricing in Nusa Dua. Head on out and make sure you cover up with plenty of sunscreen.

Be a buccaneer
Pirates Bay Bali is a made up of a restaurant and hugely fun playground in Nusa Dua with a big beached pirate boat. Kids love it.

Canyon tubing
The same tour operator as Bali Quad, you can hop into a one-person inflatable tube and drift your way down the river. It’s a fun adventure with a flying fox ride thrown in.

White water rafting
There are three rivers available for river rafting in Bali: Melangit, Telaga Waja, and Ayung Rivers and make it possible for you to enjoy varying levels of difficulty and experiences.

Bali Equestrian Centre
A horse-riding club with a swimming pool. Really. This is Bali after all. Give the kids a chance to ride horses while you enjoy a swim and lazy lunch.

Learn to surf
There are plenty of option to choose from in Nusa Dua and of course Kuta Beach. Grab a board and wave ride with plenty of quality instructors to show you how.

Zip lining
Looking for a heart-pounding zip line adventure? Kids as young as four will enjoy a wild time flying through trees at Bali Treetop Adventure Park.
